QA Engineer

Cyber Harbor is a fast-growing Ukraine-based company founded by engineers and researchers who helped defend critical cyber infrastructure during the war. Our work is shaped by real-world experience, and we build AI-powered systems designed to handle complex, high-stakes environments.

We are looking for a specialist who will help build a strong quality assurance process for our company’s IT products, including solutions in the field of artificial intelligence.

In this role, you will be responsible for full manual testing of our products, evaluating them through the lens of real business and user scenarios. For us, it is important not only to verify that the interface works and that the features match the stated functionality, but also to ensure that the system truly solves user problems, processes data correctly, and generates accurate responses to requests.

We expect the candidate to:

• Demonstrate a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and an understanding that even minor issues in a MilTech product can be critical.
• Show initiative in their testing approach and not limit themselves to formal feature checks.
• Be committed to continuously developing their QA skills and professional expertise, and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Have 2+ years of commercial experience in Manual QA at the Middle level or above.
• Be able not only to find bugs, but also to identify their causes and sources through log analysis, browser developer tools, debugging, and system behavior analysis.
• Understand how HTTP REST APIs work and be able to use tools such as Postman for testing.
• Be familiar with data formats such as JSON, YAML, and XML.
• Understand the basic principles of working with Git, be familiar with deployments, different environments, and semantic versioning.
• Have a solid understanding of the testing process and hands-on experience with core testing artifacts. 
• Ability to work with requirements, conduct requirements testing and exploratory testing, create checklists, test cases, and bug reports, prepare test run reports, and perform smoke and ad hoc testing. 
• Have experience in requirements analysis, test design, defect tracking, and supporting risk management processes.
• Understand why testing across different environments, operating systems, and browsers is necessary, and how to ensure it is done effectively.
• Be ready to work from the office in Kyiv, at least during the product onboarding stage and team integration.

Not required, but would be a plus if you have:

• Experience working with SaaS products or analytical platforms.
• Any experience in test automation, programming, or writing scripts to speed up tasks.
• Understanding of SQL or Cypher queries.
• Relevant QA certifications.
