We are looking for a Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer to join an existing high‑performing platform team and enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of a large AWS‑based ecosystem. This role focuses on Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Observability, and operational excellence while supporting upcoming platform changes/migrations. The position is senior‑level but does not include leadership or team‑management responsibilities.

- Advanced Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience using Terraform.
- Strong CI/CD expertise (preferably GitHub Actions; others acceptable).
- Solid Linux/Unix administration background.
- Strong security, compliance, and access‑management understanding.
- Observability & monitoring expertise—Grafana stack preferred (incident management, synthetic checks, performance dashboards).
- Experience defining and tracking SLOs, SLIs, and Error Budgets.
- Experience working in multi‑account AWS organizations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Continuous learning mindset and ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
- At least Upper Intermediate English level.
Nice‑to‑Have:
- Hands‑on programming (Go/Python/TypeScript) — not required, but beneficial.
- Workload migration experience (e.g., EKS → ECS + Lambda).
- AWS Professional‑level certifications.
- Experience with multi‑cloud environments or cloud cost‑optimization strategies.
- Background in performance & capacity engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and best‑practice IaC patterns.
- Implement, operate, and evolve CI/CD pipelines for reliable and fast delivery.
- Improve system reliability through SRE practices: SLOs, error budgets, incident reviews, and root‑cause analysis.
- Drive observability: build dashboards, alerts, synthetic checks, and incident workflows using Grafana (and/or Datadog).
- Support and collaborate on upcoming migrations (e.g., from EKS to ECS + Lambda).
- Ensure security, compliance, and proper IAM governance across multi‑account environments.
- Contribute to performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost awareness efforts.
- Troubleshoot production issues, participate in incident processes, and reduce MTTR through automation.
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and a Principal DevOps/SRE engineer to improve operational maturity.
- Maintain documentation, share knowledge, and help raise engineering standards across the team.
What we offer:
- Annual paid vacation of 18 working days.

- Career development plan.
- English and Spanish classes.
- Paying taxes and managing PE (Private Entrepreneur).
- Technical equipment.
- Internal Referral program.
- Opportunity to take part in company volunteering activities.
- Sombra is a “Friendly to Veterans” award-holder.
