Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in Berlin.

You bring strong expertise in data engineering, solid Python skills, and hands-on experience with AWS. You are comfortable designing and managing complex data processes and cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend architecture and scalable data pipelines;
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to build a world-class data platform;
• Shape core data capabilities and contribute to strategic technical decisions;
• Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of data systems in production.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with large-scale data in production environments;
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript;
• Experience with web frameworks and familiarity with DevOps, MLOps, and/or DataOps practices;
• Hands-on experience with AWS, CloudFormation, and CDK for infrastructure management;
• Strong understanding of scalable databases and cloud-based data pipelines;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
• Openness to learning, experimenting, and acknowledging knowledge gaps;
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
