Risk Operations Manager - UAE

We are looking for a Risk Operations Manager to support and strengthen our risk management framework across trading activities. This role combines real-time monitoring, analytical assessment, and close collaboration with trading and operations teams to ensure disciplined risk control and informed decision-making.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Head of Risk Management
  • Monitor trading activities in line with defined risk limits and internal policies
  • Assess portfolio risk exposure and identify potential vulnerabilities
  • Enhance and optimize current risk management approaches using in-house tools and reporting systems
  • Stay continuously informed about market dynamics, macro drivers, and portfolio performance factors
  • Provide coverage for a group of trading desks
  • Communicate risk-related insights and updates to traders, broker management, and operations teams
  • Contribute to strengthening internal controls and risk governance processes

     

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in trading is a strong plus
  • Mid-level expertise in equity factor models
  • Strong quantitative background with solid data analysis skills
  • Experience using SQL, Python R for analytical purposes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, self-driven and able to work independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • SIE certification and FRM or CFA certification preferred
  • English: Upper-Intermediate/Advanced
