Junior AQA Engineer (Selenium)

Our Customer is one of the biggest companies on the market of home entertainment consumer electronics devices that strives to provide their clients with high-quality products and services.

Project goals include automation testing of the video and audio content and other services available via digital media players using a custom test automation framework.
 

The candidate must be ready for a week-long onboarding in Lviv.


Job Description

1+ years of hands-on experience in Python Web Automation testing
Strong practical experience with Selenium WebDriver
Experience writing and maintaining automated tests within an existing framework
Solid understanding and practical usage of the Page Object Model (POM) pattern
Basic understanding of test automation architecture principles
Basic experience or understanding of API testing (REST, JSON, HTTP)
Basic understanding of CI/CD processes (experience running automated tests in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc. is a plus)
Confident working knowledge of Git (clone, branch, merge, pull requests)
Basic working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems (navigation, running tests, working with logs)
Understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and defect lifecycle
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Intermediate level of English (written and verbal) for working in an international team
Basic practical experience using AI tools to support test automation activities is a plus

 

Job Responsibilities

Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Python and Selenium;
Developing new automated tests and improving existing ones (refactoring, stability, performance);
Analyzing test failures, identifying root causes, and reducing flaky tests;
Participating in automation strategy discussions and decisions on what and how to automate;
Reviewing automation code and ensuring best practices are followed;
Extending automation coverage across UI and API levels;
Integrating and maintaining automated tests in CI/CD pipelines;
Collaborating closely with Manual QA, Developers, and Product teams;
Creating and maintaining technical documentation for automation solutions;
Mentoring junior automation engineers and sharing best practices;
Communicating with an international team (US).
