Trainee .NET / React Engineer (with mentorship)

Join Honeycomb Software as a Trainee .NET/React Engineer and start building real product features from day one. During your first 3 months, you’ll have a dedicated mentor, regular code reviews, and a structured onboarding plan — while working on a real project in the digital health / healthtech domain.  

What you’ll do 

• Join an engineering team and contribute to a live project from the first weeks (with mentor support). 
• Implement UI features in React and build backend functionality in .NET (C#). 
• Work with APIs (integration, data loading, error handling) and basic database operations. 
• Fix bugs, improve existing code, and gradually take on more complex tasks. 
• Participate in team rituals: daily syncs, sprint planning, demos, retros. 
• Learn best practices: clean code, Git workflow, pull requests, testing basics, and documentation. 

What we’re looking for 

• Basic understanding of C#/.NET fundamentals (OOP, collections, async basics). 
• Basic understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript and React fundamentals (components, state, props). 
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and responsive UI basics. 
• Understanding of REST APIs (how requests/responses work). 
• Basic experience with Git (commit, branch, PR basics). 
• Strong willingness to learn, ask questions, and act on feedback. 
• English level: Upper Intermediate (enough to communicate in a team environment). 

Nice to have 

• Pet projects or coursework using .NET and/or React (GitHub is a plus). 
• Basics of SQL and understanding of relational databases. 
• Any exposure to testing (unit tests, React testing libraries, etc.). 
• Familiarity with Docker or cloud basics (even at a high level). 
• Understanding of agile processes (Scrum/Kanban).
