Senior Shopify Theme Developer

We’re looking for a Senior Shopify Theme Developer to build high-quality, scalable Shopify experiences from the ground up. This is not about tweaking templates. This is about crafting custom themes with modern tooling and clean architecture.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain fully custom Shopify themes (no template patchwork).
• Work extensively with Liquid templating — reading, writing, debugging with confidence.
• Build scalable UI components using TypeScript (v5.8.3) and Tailwind CSS v3.
• Implement pixel-perfect designs from Figma into production-ready Shopify themes.
• Work within a modern Shopify toolchain including:
  • Shopify CLI
  • Vite (vite-plugin-shopify)
  • PostCSS
  • Swiper.js
  • Style Dictionary
• Maintain high code quality using:
  • ESLint
  • Prettier
  • Stylelint
  • Vitest
• Collaborate through Git/GitHub workflows (feature branches, PRs, code reviews).

• Ship features with a strong daily implementation cadence.

   

✅ Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience in custom Shopify theme development.
• Deep knowledge of Liquid templating.
• Solid experience with TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in Tailwind CSS.
• Confident using Git/GitHub (branching strategy, PRs, reviews).
• Experience converting Figma designs into clean, maintainable code.
• Self-directed and proactive — you don’t need hand-holding.
• Strong written and spoken English.

• Ability to work in a small, focused team with high ownership.

   

🚫 Not Required

• Backend or integration development (covered by other partners).
• Technical SEO implementation.

• Physical presence in any specific location.

• Experience working in modern Shopify CLI + Vite environments.
• Familiarity with testing tools like Vitest.
• Strong attention to performance and clean UI architecture.
• Experience contributing to shared design systems or component libraries.
