Senior DataOps Engineer

You will play a key role in improving and maintaining the Amazon Redshift data warehouse, supporting analytical and ad-hoc workloads, and ensuring high availability and performance of Data APIs, Customer Data Platform services, and other business-as-usual (BAU) data services.

This is a high-impact role requiring strong ownership, architectural thinking, and hands-on engineering expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Improve performance and optimize costs of the Amazon Redshift data warehouse.
• Design and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS-based data architecture.
• Support analytical and ad-hoc workloads, ensuring high availability of Data APIs and Customer Data Platform services.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (CDK, CloudFormation) and maintain advanced AWS networking configurations (VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink).
• Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs, SQS, SNS, and Kinesis.
• Apply DevOps best practices, CI/CD, TDD, and observability to ensure system reliability and quality.
• Develop solutions with scalability, security, and performance as core principles.

Required Experience & Skills:
5+ years of experience as a DataOps Engineer or similar role.

• Strong expertise with:
  • Amazon Redshift
  • Amazon Aurora
  • Amazon DynamoDB
• Deep knowledge of AWS cloud services (S3, EC2, Lambda, IAM, Athena, Managed Airflow).
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (CDK, CloudFormation).
• Advanced AWS networking and security configuration experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Java).
• Strong understanding of TDD and automated testing practices.
• Experience building distributed, event-driven systems.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering workflows.
• Experience designing systems for high scalability, performance, and resilience.
