Middle Python (Flask) Developer

About the role

We’re looking for a solid Middle Python developer with strong Flask experience to replace a current engineer on an ongoing project. You’ll take ownership of backend tasks, quickly onboard into an existing codebase, and help deliver a new product module/feature area (details will be shared during the interview stage).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend a Flask-based backend (REST APIs / services)
• Work with existing architecture and improve stability/performance
• Implement new features in a “new module” area of the product
• Write clean, testable code; participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with frontend/devops/product stakeholders

Requirements (must-have)

• 3+ years of commercial experience with Python
• Hands-on Flask (production experience, not just pet projects)
• Strong API development (REST), integrations, auth, error handling
• SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), writing efficient queries
• Git, CI/CD basics, understanding of deployment environments
• Ability to work with incomplete specs and clarify requirements

Nice to have

• FastAPI / Django experience
• Docker, Linux, basic cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Background jobs (Celery/RQ), Redis
• Tests: pytest, coverage mindset
• Microservices experience
