Sr .NET Software Engineer

Our client is the leading SaaS provider of independent, highly automated financial aid management software solutions, supporting diverse enrollment models for higher education institutions in the U.S. Their solutions integrate with established student information systems, helping institutions improve efficiency, reduce errors, grow new programs, and deliver enhanced financial aid services for students.

This position is to join the client's Product Development team, which delivers high-quality products using a fast-paced Agile development model. The Software Engineer will contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of multiple SaaS products for the higher education market. 
Specifically, you will:

• Develop and maintain features using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and .NET Core;
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Web API;
• Write and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures;
• Collaborate with team members to design functional and technical specifications;
• Develop and automate unit tests;
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects efficiently;
• Communicate proactively with team members to clarify requirements and prevent delays;
• Think creatively and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Web API;
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices;
• Strong SQL Server experience, including queries and stored procedures;
• Proficiency in JavaScript and modern frontend development;
• Experience developing software products with complex business rules;
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience;
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach;
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work;
• Willingness to follow established policies, including time tracking, timely communication, and providing notice for planned time off;
• Ability to work occasional overtime and participate in on-call coverage, including weekends if required.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• ReactJS, Kendo UI, Node.js;
• Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB;
• .NET 10 / .NET Core experience.
