Automation Engineer and CRM Specialist
Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer & CRM Specialist
Location: Fully Remote (Europe) or Hybrid (Amsterdam)
The Opportunity We are looking for a technical architect who speaks "Business." At Roadsoft, we don't just want someone to close tickets; we need a partner who can dissect our commercial operations and rebuild them to be faster, smarter, and error-proof.
You will own the architecture of our growth engine, bridging the gap between human workflows and technical execution.
Your Core Mission To design, build, and maintain a robust automated infrastructure around Hubspot CRM that allows our Sales, Support, Marketing, and Finance teams to scale without breaking. You will translate complex business needs into elegant, low-failure technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Requirements Engineering:
- You act as the gatekeeper for process changes. When stakeholders request "quick fixes," you diagnose the underlying operational bottleneck.
- You proactively audit our departments to identify inefficiencies, proposing automation blueprints that solve root problems rather than treating symptoms.
- Advanced Systems Architecture:
- Design and implement resilient, self-healing automations using Make.com, n8n, and HubSpot workflows.
- Focus on "anti-fragile" builds: ensuring data integrity, managing API rate limits, and creating sophisticated error-handling protocols so systems don't fail silently.
- Commercial Data Operations:
- Translate commercial strategy into data logic. You ensure our systems accurately capture the customer journey, from initial acquisition to retention, enabling precise reporting and segmentation.
- Maintain the "Source of Truth" by overseeing integrations between CRM (HubSpot), Billing (Hyperline), and Finance (Exact).
- Proactive Stakeholder Management:
- Work remotely but visibly. You will initiate deep-dive sessions with office-based managers to extract requirements and challenge assumptions.
- Bridge the gap between technical constraints and business goals, ensuring non-technical colleagues understand why a solution is built a certain way.
The Ideal Profile
- The "Builder" Skillset:
- Deep expertise in iPaaS tools (Make/n8n). You understand JSON, webhooks, and data transformation.
- Proven experience architecting complex HubSpot environments.
- The "Consultant" Mindset:
- Critical Thinking: You are comfortable asking "Why?" five times. You have the confidence to push back on leadership when a request threatens process integrity.
- Business Acumen: You understand how SaaS businesses operate (Sales cycles, Customer Success handoffs, Marketing attribution) and build systems that reflect that reality.
- Work Style:
- Remote-Native: You over-communicate. You don't wait for tasks; you hunt for problems to solve.
- Fluent English: Essential for navigating complex logic and team discussions.
What We Offer
- Autonomy: We are a profitable, self-funded scale-up. No external investors means we prioritize long-term quality over short-term hacks.
- Growth: Direct coaching from the Head of Product on strategic product thinking and business architecture.
- Flexibility: A fully remote role (or hybrid if preferred/possible).
- Impact: You aren't a cog in a machine; you are building the machine.
