General QA Engineer

Join our dynamic team at CoreWillSoft GmbH as a QA Engineer! We build innovative security software for critical facilities and infrastructure, combining building automation, IoT, and physical access control to protect what matters most. 

 

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our team in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products that are used by multiple businesses across Europe, USA and Canada. Our Agile team operates from multiple locations with headquarters in Bonn, Germany, and is responsible for the complete software development lifecycle; including initiating, implementation, and operation of the physical access control software operating multiple electronic locks over different radio protocols and RFID identification media.

What you`ll do: 

  • Prepare QA related documentation that align with the product and company needs. 
  • Perform testing on physical security systems and extensions, ensuring their functionality and reliability. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and development team to supervise product quality. 
  • Continuously develop testing processes and methodologies to improve product quality and efficiency. 
  • Analyze product performance metrics and provide insights for improvements. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and support, to ensure a seamless customer experience. 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance. Willingness for the professional self development inside the QA team and on the company level.

What you`ll bring: 

  • Experience in manual QA testing (web, mobile and/or desktop), preferably in physical security systems or similar domains. 
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. 
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle 
  • Experience with test planning, execution, and reporting. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Advanced English language knowledge 
  • Experience with product development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM / Kanban) 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous process improvement on the product and company level. 
  • Basic knowledge of computer science, scriptwriting, system topology understanding, networking infrastructures and protocols understanding, familiarity with database management systems. 
  • Experience in API testing. 
  • Experience in AI usage in testing activities 
  • Tooling knowledge e.g. git, UNIX command-line tools, curl, Charles Proxy, Wireshark, development tools.  
     

 

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with IoT products in building automation and physical access control. 
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 
  • Understanding of general security concepts. 
  • German language skills. 
  • Automation testing. 
  • AWS EC2 knowledge
