Demand Planner to $2200

Role Purpose

The Demand Planner executes the end-to-end demand forecasting process within a Managed Forecast & Demand Planning operating model. Forecasts are generated and enriched in a purpose-built demand planning IT tool, using quantitative commercial inputs only, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and governance across markets, brands, and channels.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Generate and maintain demand forecasts directly in the designated demand planning IT tool.
  • Use system-generated statistical forecasts as the baseline and enrich them with quantified commercial inputs.
  • Ensure all forecast adjustments are data-driven, measurable, traceable, and governance-compliant.
  • Prepare demand outlooks, scenarios, and variance analysis for Demand Review and S&OP / IBP cycles.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, bias, and forecast value add (FVA).
  • Perform root-cause analysis on deviations between forecast and actual demand.
  • Identify and formally flag data and master data issues impacting forecast quality.
  • Manage demand forecasts for new product introductions, renovations, and phase-outs.

 

Operating Principles

  • Forecast enrichment is based exclusively on commercial input.
  • All inputs are quantitative; no qualitative overrides are applied.
  • The role does not maintain master data but flags data issues for correction.
  • Full traceability and auditability are mandatory.

 

Scope & Impact

  • Multi-brand, multi-category portfolios.
  • Regional or market-level responsibility.
  • Direct impact on inventory positioning, service levels, and financial performance.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Demand Planning or Forecasting.
  • Hands-on experience with demand planning IT tools.
  • FMCG or consumer goods experience preferred.

  • Strong statistical forecasting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate commercial actions into quantified demand impacts.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical capability.
  • Structured, data-driven mindset.

 

Language

  • English: Advanced is a must!
