QA Engineer

About the project
To support the ambitious growth plans of the project and achieve upcoming product goals, we are opening a replacement position for a QA Engineer who will bring a fresh perspective and energy to the team.

You’ll join an enterprise-level web platform that serves as the analytical “brain” for a multinational telecom company. We take complex operational data and transform it into clear, audit-ready insights. It’s a high-impact project where your work directly affects how a global leader operates. 

The project has mature processes and automation, and has a strong focus on data validation and backend logic. The team is open to change, ideas, and improvements, and this is a place where your input will be heard and will have a real impact on the product.

You’ll be the only QA Engineer on the project, working closely with developers in a collaborative and supportive environment, with minimal bureaucracy and a lot of freedom in how testing is done.

 

Tools & Technologies:

  • Web application (FE/BE)
  • SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations)
  • Playwright (JS/TS)
  • Databricks
  • API testing tools (Postman, Swagger)
  • Project Management tool (Azure DevOps)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing of new and existing web application functionality
  • Validate data and business logic using advanced SQL queries
  • Create, maintain, and improve test documentation (checklists, test cases, reports)
  • Support and gradually develop automated tests using Playwright (with mentoring available)
  • Collaborate closely with developers from the early stages of development
  • Participate in sprint activities, planning, demos, and product discussions
  • Proactively suggest improvements to testing approaches, processes, and tools
  • Use AI tools to improve testing efficiency and day-to-day work.

Expectations:

  • Long-term cooperation (minimum 1 year)
  • Full-time involvement (40 hours per week)
  • Regular participation in team meetings and sprint ceremonies
  • Willingness to grow together with the project and the company

 

Required skills:

  • 1+ year of commercial experience in web application testing (GUI, API);
  • Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, subqueries) - must-have;
  • Basic experience or strong interest in test automation (Playwright / TypeScript);
  • Understanding of software testing fundamentals, types, and levels;
  • Knowledge of test design techniques and ability to apply them in practice;
  • Understanding of QA processes across the SDLC;
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, HTTP, JSON;
  • Ability to write clear and structured bug reports and test documentation;
  • English level: Intermediate+ or higher.
