ArboStar is a fast-growing SaaS platform helping tree care and landscaping companies streamline operations across North America. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Product Design Manager to lead and develop our design team while driving high-quality, user-centered product experiences across Web and Mobile platforms.
This role focuses on team leadership, design strategy, and process improvement, with the expectation that the Product Design Manager remains closely involved in execution to ensure design quality and consistency across the product.
You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and QA to deliver intuitive, scalable solutions and maintain a seamless end-to-end user experience.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and mentor design team members, support their professional growth, and help establish effective design processes and standards
- Own the overall UX strategy and ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience across Web and Mobile products.
- Translate business goals and product vision into clear, user-centered design direction.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between Product, Engineering, and QA to ensure efficient delivery and strong product outcomes.
- Identify product experience gaps and proactively propose improvements based on user feedback, analytics, and business priorities.
- Stay hands-on in design execution to maintain quality and support the team when needed.
Your responsibilities include
- Designing end-to-end user flows, including edge cases such as errors, empty states, loading states, and permissions.
- Leading the full design lifecycle from discovery through handoff to development.
- Creating wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma.
- Facilitating discovery activities, including workshops, stakeholder alignment, and requirements clarification.
- Preparing detailed design specifications, states, components, and behavioral documentation for engineering.
- Supporting QA with clear UI acceptance criteria and reference prototypes.
- Maintaining and evolving the design system to ensure consistency across platforms.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer in digital product environments.
- Proven experience managing or leading design teams.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating real product impact, including design thinking, user flows, decision-making, and measurable results.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, design systems).
- Deep understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and responsive design.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to clearly justify design decisions.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams (PM, Engineering, QA).
Nice to Have
- Experience working with B2B SaaS, CRM platforms, or complex admin panels (tables, filters, forms, dashboards).
- Experience working with UI kits.
- Strong awareness of the latest UI/UX and product design trends and best practices.
- Experience using AI-powered design and productivity tools
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of technical constraints and development processes.
