Junior/Middle Manual QA Engineer (Ohayu at Genesis)
We are looking for a Junior/Middle Manual QA Engineer to join Ohayu (https://ohayu.com). We are building the easiest way for travelers to stay online anywhere in the world. We’re a fast-scaling B2C mobile + web app (iOS/Android/Web) that lets people buy eSIM data plans in minutes - cheaper than roaming, no SIM shops, no hassle. Thousands of travelers already use Ohayu worldwide, and we’re just getting started.
Our ambition is bigger than eSIM: we’re evolving Ohayu into a full Travel App that makes every journey smoother.
What you’ll do:
You’ll help us keep quality high while we move fast - and you’ll get hands-on exposure to how product teams ship real features.
- Test Web, Android, and iOS releases end-to-end (from user flows to edge cases).
- Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and clear test coverage for key journeys (purchase, installation, connectivity, account).
- Execute scenarios, validate results, and document findings.
- Report bugs with clean reproduction steps, expected vs actual behavior, priority/severity suggestions, and evidence (screenshots, logs, network traces).
- Do initial investigation using logs, DevTools / network tools, and basic SQL to speed up debugging.
- Collaborate with developers and product to verify fixes and improve feature quality before release.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals: SDLC, test design techniques, types/levels of testing.
- Good knowledge of the client-server model and basics of HTTP/HTTPS.
- Experience in manual testing of mobile and web applications.
- Basic SQL and confidence using tools like Chrome DevTools (network, console, requests).
- Ability to perform basic root cause analysis (logs + network + DB checks).
- Strong organization: you can prioritize tasks, keep testing structured, and follow through.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork.
- Proactive mindset: you spot risks early, suggest improvements, and ask good questions.
- English: intermediate+ (documentation + team communication).
Why you’ll like working with us:
- Real impact: your work directly affects real travelers using Ohayu worldwide.
- Product-driven culture: we care about UX and smooth user journeys - QA is a key part of that.
- Fast learning curve: frequent releases, clear feedback loops, real-world cases.
- Genesis ecosystem: access to expertise, resources, and a strong product community.
- Benefits: health insurance, 20 paid vacation days, annual performance review with clear salary progression.
Work format: remote-friendly, or from our offices in Warsaw / Kyiv / Lviv
