Senior AQA Engineer (Python)
Ixilix is looking for a proactive and highly motivated Senior AQA Engineer to join our fast-growing team.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Automation QA engineer who wants to:
• work with a modern tech stack (Python, Pytest, Playwright, FastAPI, NextJS, React, GitLab, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kibana, LangChain)
• take on a leadership role, mentoring engineers and shaping the team's technical culture
• build scalable test automation architectures
• develop scripts, tools, and apps for other teams
• define the automation strategy and drive engineering excellence across the AQA team
• create complex scenarios for load tests (Locust)
• use any AI tools of your choice

Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
• Own the Automation Strategy: Lead the design and evolution of the test automation architecture to ensure scalability and reliability
• Drive Engineering Excellence: Enforce high coding standards through code reviews and the adoption of modern, robust testing patterns
• Mentor and Grow the Team: Foster a culture of technical excellence by mentoring team members and sharing knowledge on new tools and techniques
• Optimize Processes: Continuously audit and improve AQA processes to minimize feedback loops and maximize efficiency
Automation & Development
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Python and Pytest (API tests + UI tests with Playwright)
• Develop and run complex scenarios for load tests using Python (Locust)
• Develop and maintain automation tools using different technologies (FastAPI, React, Docker, etc.)
• Develop scripts, tools, and apps for other teams (for example, the QA team or integration management team)
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Contribute to documentation for processes and codebases
Process & Collaboration
• Work closely with AQA, MQA, BE, and FE engineers
• Be part of the feature development process: participate in meetings, requirement reviews, and mockup reviews
• Demo results at the end of each sprint
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience as an AQA Engineer
• 3+ years of strong Python and Pytest experience
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring other AQA engineers
• Proven experience designing test automation frameworks and architectural patterns
• Deep knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and engineering best practices (SOLID, DRY, KISS)
• Strong experience in API and UI testing
• English level: B1+; Ukrainian: C1
Nice to have:
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Basic knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (React/NextJS)
• Experience with load testing tools like Locust

Work conditions:
- Remote work from EU
- Flexible 8-hour workday, typically between 9:00 - 18:00 CET
- Five working days, Monday to Friday
- Public holidays observed according to Ukrainian legislation
- Business trips to Bratislava every 3-6 months (company provides compensation of expenses)
