The Role: Flutter Developer (Product-Focused)

We’re looking for a Flutter Developer to join our growing development team and play a key role in building core features across our mobile applications.

This is a highly product-oriented role. As a fast-moving startup, you’ll have real ownership — contributing to product decisions, shaping how features are delivered, and working closely with design, data, and coaching to ship improvements quickly and iterate based on real user behaviour.

We’re actively moving towards an AI-assisted, agentic, scope-driven approach to development. We’re particularly interested in candidates who:

• Have experience using tools like Claude Code to accelerate feature delivery
• Want to grow into a full-stack, product-minded engineer
• Enjoy taking features from idea to scope to production, with AI support throughout

While not required, the ability to support the backend in Node.js would be a strong advantage.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building and owning core features in our Flutter mobile apps
• Working closely with product, coaching, and design to shape how features work, not just how they’re implemented
• Using AI-assisted development tools to improve speed and quality of delivery
• Shipping regularly to the App Store and Google Play Store
• Contributing to how we evolve our engineering and product practices as the company scales

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• 3+ years of professional experience with Flutter
• Experience building features and working within clearly defined scopes
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g. Claude Code)
• Strong understanding of clean architecture in Flutter
• Experience with Bloc and Dio
• Unit testing experience using Mockito and bloc_test
• Experience managing releases on the App Store and Google Play Store
• Experience integrating third-party tools such as Intercom, Mixpanel, Flagsmith, and Sentry
• Experience working in a high-growth startup or fast-moving technology environment

Running & Fitness Experience:

• A genuine personal interest in running, endurance sport, or fitness
• Experience working on running, fitness, health, or performance-related digital products, or the strong desire to do so
• An appreciation of training principles and how athletes use data, plans, and feedback to improve performance

Ways of Working:

• A pragmatic, startup mindset — comfortable working across multiple priorities and shipping quickly to test and iterate
• Strong product instincts and a desire to work closely with the product team to help shape vision and direction
• Curiosity about new technology trends and how they can be applied meaningfully
• A belief that technology can positively impact people’s lives
• Willingness to contribute beyond pure engineering, from product discussions to supporting the business at events and races
