Python / JavaScript Automation & QA Engineer (Remote)
 

About the role

We are looking for a strong Automation & QA Engineer to help us automate testing across our software stack and improve the reliability of our technology pipeline.

This role combines test automation, backend/service development, and DevOps-style thinking. You will design automated testing systems, build tools that simplify release workflows, and help ensure our products are stable and production ready.

You will work closely with the core engineering team and have real ownership over how testing and automation are implemented across the company.

We are looking for an agile, proactive professional who learns quickly and enjoys tackling challenging problems. The role offers the opportunity to work on new and meaningful tasks coming directly from real-world aerospace and defense technology applications, contributing to solutions that aim to improve safety and stability across the continent.
 

Automation & QA

• Design and implement end-to-end automated testing pipelines
• Build integration, regression, performance, and system tests
• Automate validation of backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Maintain test environments and testing infrastructure
• Create testing dashboards, reports, and failure analysis tools
   

Development

• Develop internal tools and services in Python and JavaScript
• Improve reliability, observability, and deployment workflows
• Work on backend services that support automation pipelines
• Help standardize CI/CD and release processes
  
   

Infrastructure & Pipelines

• Integrate testing into CI/CD workflows
• Build scripts and tools for automated deployments and testing
• Work with Docker, Linux servers, and cloud or self-hosted environments
• Help scale automated testing as the system grows

Required skills

• Strong Python development experience
• Some JavaScript  experience
• Proven experience with automated testing and QA engineering
• Experience testing APIs, backend services, and distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
• Experience working with Linux servers and Docker
• Experience writing clear technical documentation
   

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools
• Experience with performance and load testing
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Experience working in startup environments
• DevOps or SRE experience
