Tech Lead (MarTech)

Inception-1 is a product company that creates AI-driven B2C products designed to help people feel more connected and less alone. Our mission is to build meaningful digital experiences that blend technology with empathy — and to prove that technology can be both human and transformative.

We’re building a MarTech engineering team that ships the tooling and integrations our Marketing org needs to grow multiple AI products. You’ll own delivery for a cross-functional squad, spending ~50% on hands-on coding and ~50% on team leadership and delivery management.

What you’ll do
 

  • Own end-to-end delivery for the MarTech squad: planning, execution, quality, and timely releases.
  • Lead implementation of growth funnels: tracking plans, event schemas, attribution, and conversion flows.
  • Build and maintain integrations with ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, Snapchat): pixels/SDKs, CAPI/server-to-server, event mapping, deduplication, rate limits, and privacy settings.
  • Set up and harden analytics & tagging (e.g., GTM, GA4; mobile/web tracking; data hygiene).
  • Partner with Payments engineers to instrument purchase events, subscriptions, and refund flows; support troubleshooting across environments.
  • Develop tools for the marketing team that help them increase speed and automate their workflows.
  • Raise engineering bar: code reviews, incident playbooks, delivery rituals, and pragmatic CI/CD.
  • Hire, coach, and performance-manage engineers; provide clear feedback and growth paths.
  • Collaborate daily with Marketing Managers, Product, Design, QA, and DevOps to hit growth targets.


Tech snapshot
 

  • Frontend: React (mandatory), TypeScript; React Native is a strong plus.
  • Backend: any modern stack; .NET experience is a big plus (willingness to dive into backend is required).
  • Growth tooling: GTM/GA4 (or similar), pixel/SDK/CAPI setups, attribution (e.g., AppsFlyer/Adjust), event quality scoring in ad platforms.
  • Practices: automated tests, safe rollouts, feature flags, trunk based development, continuous delivery.


What you bring
 

  • 6+ years in software engineering, including 1–3 years leading people or acting as a de-facto lead.
  • Strong React engineer who is comfortable across the stack and curious about backend internals.
  • Proven experience shipping ad/analytics integrations at scale (Meta/TikTok/Google/Snapchat).
  • Product thinking: you care about business impact, not just code.
  • Excellent communication; comfortable working with imperfect requirements and turning them into plans.
