Mobile QA Engineer

VEN Commerce Ltd is seeking a professional Mobile QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our high-performance Native Mobile Applications (iOS & Android). Requirements:

Core QA Competencies

• Methodology & Process: Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks and the QA role within the development process.
• Documentation: Expert ability to create and maintain high-quality artifacts, including Test Plans, Checklists, Test Cases, and Bug Reports.

• Requirements Analysis: Strong ability to analyze product requirements for clarity, completeness, and testability.

   

Technical Skills

• Mobile Experience: 2+ years of professional experience specifically in mobile application testing.
• Native App Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of iOS and Android platforms, including platform-specific UI/UX guidelines, system behaviors, and application lifecycles.
• Technical Diagnostics: Proficiency in log analysis and debugging using Android Studio (Logcat) and Xcode (Console/Instruments).
• Network Analysis: Expert use of traffic inspection tools such as Charles Proxy or Fiddler to validate API integrations and simulate various network conditions.

• Database Management: Solid proficiency in SQL (MySQL) for data verification and backend testing.

   

AI & Productivity Tools

• AI Literacy: Proficiency in using Gemini/GPT and AI Copilots to optimize test documentation and accelerate routine tasks.

Prompt Engineering: Ability to design effective prompts for generating comprehensive test scenarios and edge cases.

Preferred Qualifications (Would be a plus)

• Automation testing: Approximately 0.5+ years of experience (or significant hands-on project work) in mobile test automation.
• Tech Stack: Familiarity with JavaScript / TypeScript and the WebdriverIO + Appium framework.
• Version Control: Understanding of Git and basic Linux command-line operations.

• Native Locators: Knowledge of efficient locator strategies specifically for native mobile components.

   

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance:  Executing comprehensive manual testing for new features and full regression cycles on native iOS and Android builds, ensuring high product stability and release readiness.
• Technical Analysis:  Analyzing system logs, crash reports, and application behavior to identify root causes of platform-specific issues and verify fixes.
• Documentation: Creating, maintaining, and improving high-quality test documentation (test plans, checklists, test cases, reports), leveraging AI tools to optimize documentation workflows.
• Testing Strategy & Coverage: Contributing to the development of effective testing strategies, test coverage approaches, and structured locator conventions for native mobile components.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, assess risks, and ensure releases meet defined quality standards.
