Automation QA Engineer (Future QA Lead)

Overview Looking for an Automation QA who can grow into a leadership role. Someone proactive, ownership-driven, ready to build reliable test automation and guide future QA teammates.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks
Create end-to-end, integration, API, and UI automated test suites
Analyze product quality risks and define test strategy
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve release reliability
Lead defect triage and ensure high standards of QA processes
Mentor future QA team members and help establish QA best practices
Drive continuous improvement in test automation and CI/CD quality gates

Requirements
Strong experience with automated testing (Web + API)
Solid one of: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO
Strong TypeScript or JavaScript experience
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.)
Practical understanding of testing pyramid & shift-left approach
Fluent English communication
Proactive mindset and readiness to take ownership
Experience leading or mentoring is a plus

Nice to Have
Azure cloud experience (Azure DevOps, pipelines, App Services, Functions)
Performance testing (k6)
Basic security testing
Docker/Kubernetes knowledge
SaaS or startup product experience
