Senior Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated QA Engineer willing to develop his career within our fin-tech engineering team.

You will have the opportunity to own key aspects of our testing efforts, grow hands-on professional skills, participate to establishing best practices and experiment with new ideas to deliver the highest quality product to our users.
 

You'll join our Engineering team in building out an extraordinary web-based platform that has already helped thousands of people save money, and aims to help millions more.

Responsibilities:

As a QA Test Engineer in this role, you will work closely with the software design and development team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a manual test plan for testing front-end as well as back-end web applications. This also includes testing result analysis, tracking bug reports, and driving them to resolution.
 

Ideally, you will bring technical proficiency and enthusiasm for quality. You will have been involved in software quality assurance for complex projects, proficient in manual testing, independently managed release tracks, and balance methodology experience with practical execution.
 

• Perform functional, regression, mobile and cross-browser testing
• Create and maintain manual test cases, scenarios and checklists
• Participate in test planning and estimation
• Detect, investigate and log defects into tracking tool
• Interact with Development, Product and Design teams daily to identify root cause and drive the errors through to resolution
• Collaborate and be willing to do the things needed for the team to succeed
• Support culture and pulse of the well organised, fun and positive team
   

QA tools in use:
Jira, TestRail, Browser Stack, Git, Postman.

Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• QA Fundamentals and Bug life-cycle
• Knowledge in testing web applications
• English - active intermediate level or higher
• Knowledge about functional, system, and regression QA testing

Nice to have:

• Jira and TestRail knowledge
• SQL knowledge

• Attentive to details fast learner, reliable, deadline and results-oriented
• Ability to analyze problems in situations where the symptoms are not of a standard or familiar nature, therefore requiring independent thought and logical troubleshooting methods
• High level of self-motivation and self-discipline
• Thrive on collaboration - Engineering team works closely with Product Management, Design and Operations for everything from roll-out to feature enhancement
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Real passion for software quality, and drive to be successful in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
