Tech Lead / Backend Architect

We are looking for a Tech Lead / Backend Architect to design and guide the implementation of a white‑label platform that enables creators (streamers, bloggers, influencers) to launch their own branded mobile apps for their communities. The platform aggregates content from major social networks and adds messaging, livestreams, and management dashboards.
 

You will own the technical architecture, lead key implementation decisions, and work hands‑on on the most critical backend components. You will closely collaborate with the project manager, product stakeholders, and a small senior engineering team.

Duration: 9-12 weeks, potential extension.
 

Key responsibilities:

• Design the overall backend architecture (multi‑tenant model, security, scalability, API boundaries).
• Define technical approach for integrations with YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, etc.
• Lead implementation of core modules: authentication/authorization, configuration, content, messaging, notifications, moderation, and analytics.
• Establish coding standards, review pull requests, mentor backend and frontend developers.
• Collaborate with DevOps on infrastructure, deployment and monitoring strategy.
• Assess technical risks, propose mitigations, and ensure the MVP is production‑ready.
   

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead/architect role.
• Strong expertise with Node.js, TypeScript and NestJS.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, multi‑tenant architectures and security best practices.
• Experience integrating with third‑party APIs at scale (ideally social media or similar platforms).
• Good knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL), caching (Redis), and message/queue systems.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) in production environments.
• Upper‑Intermediate English (ability to lead technical discussions with international stakeholders).
   

Nice to have:

• Experience with real‑time systems (WebSockets, live chat, streaming features).
• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection practices for consumer products.

• Previous work on creator‑focused, subscription, or media platforms.
