Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join a mobile product team working on secure, high-traffic mobile applications for iOS and Android. The role focuses on ensuring quality, stability, security, and compliance of mobile applications in a regulated, real-time environment. You will work closely with mobile engineers, backend developers, and product managers to validate complex user flows, integrations, and security-sensitive features.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual testing of mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms

Analyze product requirements, specifications, and designs to create clear and detailed test cases

Execute functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, and acceptance testing

Validate authentication and authorization flows (login, MFA, token handling, permissions)

Test integrations with external APIs, payment systems, and third-party services

Validate real-time features, data synchronization, and state consistency

Perform mobile-specific testing:

• App lifecycle scenarios
• Network interruptions and recovery
• Background / foreground behavior
• Different devices, OS versions, and screen sizes

Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and evidence

Collaborate closely with developers to investigate issues and verify fixes

Participate in release testing and support App Store / Google Play releases

Ensure high quality, usability, and stability across production releases

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer, preferably with mobile applications

Strong experience testing mobile apps (iOS and Android)

Solid understanding of:

• Software testing fundamentals and QA processes
• SDLC and STLC
• Bug lifecycle and defect tracking

Experience working with test documentation:

• Test cases
• Checklists
• Test plans

Experience testing REST APIs (using Postman, Charles, or similar tools)

Good understanding of client-server architecture

Ability to analyze logs and reproduce complex issues

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

Nice to Have

Experience testing fintech or payment-related applications

Understanding of security-sensitive flows (authentication, authorization, session handling)

Experience with mobile traffic inspection tools (Charles, Proxyman, Fiddler)

Basic knowledge of SQL or databases

Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams

Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or similar)

Experience with mobile automation (Appium or similar) — as a plus
