Senior Elixir Backend Engineer

About the project:

 We are seeking a Senior Elixir Backend Engineer to join the US-based project. The role addresses an immediate need for field mapping and REST API integrations with ERP systems. In parallel, this engineer will contribute to a long-term initiative focused on expanding the backend to support AI tool integrations and broader API exposure built on an Elixir-based architecture.

Does this relate to you?

• Senior -level experience with Elixir in production systems with strong understanding of architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise in REST API design and system integrations.
• Proven experience with ERP / DMS systems, preferably in Trucking or Automotive domains.
• Deep understanding of field mapping, data transformation, and schema alignment.
• English is Upper-Intermediate.

A new team member will be in charge of:

•  Implement and maintain field mapping integrations with CarMAC and CDK (Trucking / DMS ERPs).
• Design and support REST API endpoints for reliable data exchange between ERP systems and internal platforms.
• Handle data normalization, validation, and transformation across heterogeneous ERP schemas.
• Work closely with the client’s internal engineering team to deliver integrations under tight timelines.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing integration flows to ensure accuracy and performance.
• Support API exposure and backend scalability using Elixir.
• Contribute to integrations with AI-powered tools and services.
