Senior Node.js developer
We are looking for a Senior Node.js developer with 4+ years of commercial experience to join our project from Ireland. You will work with a modern Node.js stack, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor a Middle Backend Engineer.
Requirements
Must have:
- 4+ years of commercial experience with Node.js (version 18)
- Hands-on experience with Express.js
- Solid knowledge of REST API design principles
- Experience with AWS services, including AWS Lambda
- Proficiency with MongoDB and Mongoose
- Experience working with Firebase
- Familiarity with Sentry or similar monitoring tools
- Understanding of backend architecture and scalable system design
- Experience leading or mentoring other backend developers
Upper - Intermediate or higher level of English
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI integrations
- Hands-on experience with AWS RDS
Strong background in complex third-party integrations (social media APIs, payment providers, external platforms)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services for web and mobile applications
- Review code and ensure high code quality and best practices
- Design, build, and evolve backend architecture
- Monitor application performance and stability using logging and monitoring tools
