Engineering Lead (Frontend / Mobile — React, React Native)
We’re building several product engineering teams that will own AI-first products from our portfolio. Great teams require great leaders so we‘re on the lookout for engineering leaders to lead the teams.
In this role, you’ll own delivery for a cross-functional squad, spending ~50% on hands-on coding and ~50% on team leadership and delivery management.
What you’ll do
- Own delivery end-to-end - be accountable for turning product and business goals into shipped, reliable engineering outcomes — with clear scope, timelines, and quality bar.
- Lead technical decisions - set technical direction, make pragmatic architecture trade-offs, and ensure solutions match current business needs, not abstract “best practices”.
- Set the engineering culture bar - build a culture of end-to-end accountability, continuous delivery, and operational ownership — where engineers ship often, own what they build in production, and take responsibility for quality early.
- Drive ownership and accountability - help the team take responsibility for outcomes, surface risks early, and resolve problems at the right level.
- Partner cross-functionally - work closely with Product, Marketing, and other stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and make trade-offs explicit.
- Grow strong engineers - coach engineers in technical judgment, ownership, and execution, raising the overall bar of the team.
Tech snapshot
- Mobile: React Native (cross-platform iOS & Android)
- Backend: Ruby or Node.js (another product team)
- Architecture: Service-oriented backend supporting mobile clients
- Practices: automated tests, safe rollouts, feature flags, trunk based development, continuous delivery.
What you bring
- 6+ years in software engineering, including 1–3 years leading people or acting as a de-facto lead.
- Strong frontend engineer who is comfortable across the stack and curious about backend internals.
- Product thinking: you care about business impact, not just code.
- Excellent communication; comfortable working with imperfect requirements and turning them into plans.
Why this is interesting
- Ownership of user-facing experiences in AI products.
- Influence on design–engineering collaboration.
- Opportunity to shape frontend and mobile standards from scratch.
What we offer:
- Flexible work schedule and remote-friendly culture.
- Online services of a corporate doctor, and after the probationary period — health insurance in Ukraine.
- 20 working days of paid vacation per year, unlimited sick leave.
- All equipment necessary for work.
- Compensation for the best courses on the market, corporate online meetups and lectures, a large library, business and management schools for employees.
