Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Manual QA Engineer with a strong focus on backend testing. In this role, you will take ownership of feature quality, collaborate closely with developers, and help maintain high standards even when documentation is evolving.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Collaboration: Work directly with Product and Development teams to refine and clarify functional requirements.
  • Feature Ownership: Take full responsibility for the quality assurance of specific feature sets from concept to release.
  • Testing Execution: Perform Functional, UI, and UX testing for new features.
  • Regression: Manage regression testing efficiently (aiming for less than 20% of your total workload).
  • Test Strategy: Create, prioritize, and maintain test cases for manual execution and define scenarios for future automation.
  • Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis on reported issues to assist developers in rapid resolution.

 

Requirements
 

  • Experience: 2+ years in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
  • Backend Expertise: Strong experience with backend testing (API, Databases, Logs).
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in environments with limited or evolving product documentation; you are proactive in finding answers.
  • Language: English proficiency (Level B1 or higher).

 

Tech Stack & Tools
 

  • Management: Testmo, Jira
  • Backend & Data: Datadog (Logs), Kafka, BullMQ, Postgres, Redis
  • Testing Tools: BrowserStack, Browser DevTools
