Strong Middle / Senior Manual QA Engineer

Asocial is looking for a highly independent and responsible Strong Middle / Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our team. We are building a complex, fast-growing product and need someone who can quickly get up to speed, take initiative, and ensure product quality without constant guidance.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough manual testing of web applications (mobile and desktop versions).
• Independently clarify and gather requirements, including incomplete or evolving ones.
• Conduct frequent and large-scale regression testing after releases and changes.
• Handle a significant amount of routine and repetitive testing without losing quality.
• Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps in Jira.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other team members.
• Perform backend testing to ensure correct data handling and storage in PostgreSQL.
• Verify HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), response codes, and JSON/XML structures.
• Work in environments with frequent deployments via CI/CD pipelines.
• Adapt testing activities to dynamic (ephemeral) test environments that may be recreated, updated, or reset frequently.

• Suggest improvements to testing processes, test coverage, and QA practices.

   

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Engineer (Strong Middle or Senior).
• High level of self-organization, responsibility, and initiative.
• Ability to quickly get familiar with the product and start delivering results immediately.
• Ability to independently gather requirements without waiting for step-by-step instructions.
• Experience in manual testing of web applications (mobile and desktop).
• Solid experience with regression testing and willingness to perform it frequently.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and experience working with products that have frequent automated builds and deployments.
• Experience working with dynamic or frequently updated test environments.
• Confident use of Jira for bug tracking.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• API testing experience (Postman, REST).
• SQL and database testing (SELECT, UPDATE) in PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of client-server architecture and data flow.
• English level: B1 (sufficient for work, not critical).
