Head of Investor Relations

We are seeking an experienced Head of Investor Relations to join our team!

 

This role is focused on originating, developing, and closing relationships with high-value capital allocators, primarily family offices and ultra-high-net-worth investors. The ideal candidate is a proven rainmaker with a strong track record of raising significant capital and bringing their own network to the platform.

 

Core Responsibilities

β€’ Build and manage direct relationships with:

  • Family offices
  • Ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI)
  • Sophisticated private investors and capital allocators
  • Originate and convert new investor relationships into active allocations on the platform
  • Lead allocator conversations from first contact through allocation decision
  • Own and continuously develop a high-quality pipeline of new capital sources (not existing/internal leads)
  • Drive capital commitments into:
    • Private market opportunities
    • Secondaries and private credit
  • Coordinate with product and investment teams to match allocator demand with opportunities
  • Represent GammaPrime in investor meetings, conferences, and private capital introductions
  • Focus on investors with ticket sizes of $1M–$50M+ requiring high-expertise handling
  • Represent GammaPrime in allocator meetings, conferences, and closed-door capital introductions
  • Operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with strong emphasis on results
  • Ability to travel internationally, including to the United States; candidates should be eligible to obtain an ESTA or hold a visa that allows business travel to the U.S.

 

Required Background:

Candidates must have:

β€’ 7–12 years of work experience in capital raising, fund placement or distribution for:

  • Hedge funds
  • Venture capital funds
  • Private equity or alternative asset managers

β€’ Direct experience selling to professional allocators (not retail)
β€’ An existing, active network of allocators (family offices, UHNWI, sophisticated investors) that can be leveraged immediately

β€’ Strong experience in originating new relationships (not just managing inbound or existing clients)

β€’ Prior roles at one or more of the following:

  • Placement agents
  • Private market investment platforms
  • Private banks / UHNW desks
  • Alternative asset managers (IR / distribution)

β€’ Demonstrated capital raised:

Minimum €/$50m cumulative across prior roles

β€’ Deep understanding of private markets, including private equity, private credit, and secondaries

β€’ Ability to articulate:

  • Allocator decision processes
  • Ticket sizes
  • Investment committee dynamics

    Ideal Candidate
  • A true β€œhunter” and closer with a history of independently sourcing and closing capital
  • Highly externally focused, proactive, and driven to bring new investors into the platform
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment with high expectations and accountability
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and urgency
  • Willing to work aggressively to achieve results and scale capital inflows
