About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced .NET Developer with a strong background in Child Welfare systems (SACWIS / CCWIS) to support and enhance the State of New York CONNECTIONS application.
The role involves development, modernization, integration, and technical leadership across multiple legacy and modern .NET applications used by OCFS, LDSS, and voluntary agencies.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience working on Child Welfare systems under SACWIS or CCWIS federal regulations
7+ years of experience with:
- VB.NET
- .NET Framework 4.0+
- WPF
- WCF
- MVC / MVVM design patterns
7+ years of experience with:
- Oracle (ODP.NET, SQL, PL/SQL)
- Stored procedures, functions, packages (Oracle 10g+)
6+ years of experience in:
- Regression and integration testing
- Unit testing using Rhino Mocks
- Strong experience with legacy system integration
- Experience working in large government IT environments
Responsibilities
• Develop and enhance the CONNECTIONS Child Welfare system
• Participate in requirements gathering and system design sessions
• Provide technical leadership for WPF/WCF based applications
• Lead integrations with legacy systems
• Define UI and development standards
• Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards
• Mentor senior developers on MVVM, WPF, WCF, and Oracle stack
• Evaluate and integrate third-party software solutions
• Prepare and maintain system documentation
