Our client is building a cloud-native AI governance platform designed to intercept and control sensitive AI interactions in real time.

The platform processes user prompts, model responses, coding-agent actions, and enterprise search activity across multiple interfaces. It applies access policies, transformations, and audit rules within milliseconds—without disrupting user experience.

As organizations adopt generative AI at scale, traditional access-control models are no longer sufficient. This product introduces a new security layer purpose-built for AI systems, ensuring knowledge boundaries are enforced while allowing innovation to move fast.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Backend-oriented) to join a remote, product-focused team developing a real-time AI governance platform.

You will primarily work on backend development using Node.js / TypeScript, building services, APIs, and core platform features. You will also contribute to frontend development in React when needed to deliver features end-to-end.

This role is ideal for an engineer who wants to go deep in backend and system design, while still operating comfortably across the full stack in a fast-moving, highly technical environment. You will work closely with senior engineers, take ownership of features, and participate in architectural and design discussions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js / TypeScript
• Contribute to frontend functionality in React when required for feature completion
• Deliver features end-to-end: from requirements and design through development, testing, and deployment
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best engineering practices
• Participate in code reviews and help improve team standards and processes
• Contribute to tooling, containerized environments, and CI/CD workflows
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and AI/security teams

• Support debugging, performance optimization, and reliability improvements

   

Required Competence and Skills

• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript / TypeScript
• Working knowledge of React and modern frontend patterns
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or equivalent)
• Familiarity with cloud-native development and containerized environments
• Understanding of service-oriented architectures, APIs, and deployment workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a distributed team
• Ability to self-organize, learn quickly, and adapt in a startup-like environment

• Excellent English, both written and spoken

   

Nice to Have

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
• Experience with Python and/or Go
• Production experience with TypeScript-based Node.js services
• Exposure to LLM / AI-driven systems (LLM APIs, vector databases, orchestration tools)
• Experience integrating ML/AI models into production
• Background in B2B or security-focused products

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field
