Senior QA Engineer

OneTablet builds SaaS used daily by restaurants to run their online ordering across Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and more — reliably, at scale, in real production conditions.

We’re looking for a senior QA engineer who wants to own quality as a domain, not just execute test cases. This is a foundational role: you’ll shape how we think about testing, automation, and reliability in a fast-moving product environment.

What you’ll own

• End-to-end quality ownership for the product
• Decisions on what to test, how, and why (manual vs automation, risk-driven)
• A lean QA system that evolves with the product — not process for its own sake
• Automation focused on revenue-critical flows, regressions, and integrations
• Continuous improvement of reliability and testability together with engineers
• AI-assisted workflows to move faster and see blind spots earlier

How you’ll work (tools & stack)

• Test APIs and integrations (REST, webhooks, async flows)
• Use tools like Postman / Insomnia for exploration and validation
• Write automation and test utilities in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Use SQL to validate data, business logic, and real production behavior
• Build API and E2E automation (Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
• Run tests in CI with fast feedback and practical reporting

• Clear risk-based mindset (you know what matters most)
• Hands-on and opinionated: you design, implement, and iterate
• Comfortable designing lightweight, pragmatic QA processes that scale with the product
• AI-native in practice (used daily, not theoretically)

Nice to have

• Experience testing backend systems and third-party integrations
• Contract testing or integration-heavy products
• Interest in building small, scalable QA systems that don’t slow teams down
