Trainee / General QA (JS/Playwright)

SoftButler seeks a Trainee General QA Engineer to ensure top product quality. We're an innovation-driven startup valuing proactivity and growth. Write automated tests, perform manual testing (60% automation / 40% manual), set up CI/CD pipelines, and work with UI and API test layers.
 

- Fully remote with optional Kyiv office access. English level — B2+.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests using JavaScript and Playwright.
• Perform manual testing (approx. 40%) to verify functionality.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and prepare bug reports.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve defects promptly.

• Create and maintain testing documentation.

   

REQUIREMENTS:

• B2+ English (for communication and technical documentation).
• Strong JavaScript knowledge and basic Playwright experience.
• Experience with UI and API testing tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD; experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proactive mindset.
