Junior React Native Developer (Android)

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior React Native Developer with a focus on Android to join our development team. This role is ideal for developers who want to specialize in mobile app development, with an emphasis on reskinning and customizing existing applications. You'll work with cutting-edge AI tools and learn innovative technologies.

No prior experience with AI tools required – we'll teach you everything you need to know.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain React Native applications for Android
• Perform reskinning and design adaptations of existing applications
• Customize UI/UX according to client requirements and branding
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Work closely with the design team to implement pixel-perfect designs
• Debug and resolve Android platform-specific issues
• Learn and apply AI-assisted development workflows to boost productivity
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on development experience at a company (not freelance)
• Practical experience with React Native
• Solid understanding of the Android platform (lifecycle, permissions, build process)
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with Git
• Understanding of React Native styling and ability to implement designs from Figma/Sketch
• Ability to work with REST APIs
• Excellent spoken and written English is a must (working with clients in Israel and the U.S.)
• Ability to work independently, high energy, and excellent communication skills
• Self-discipline and responsibility – essential for remote work success

Nice to Have

• Experience with Android Native (Java/Kotlin)
• Familiarity with Android Studio and debugging tools
• Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, MobX)
• Knowledge of app deployment to Google Play Store
• Familiarity with Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Push Notifications)
• Experience with React Native animations (Reanimated, Lottie)
• Basic understanding of mobile CI/CD (Fastlane, Bitrise)
• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude

Work Setup

• Location: Fully remote
• Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Israel time)
