Requirements

Core Infrastructure & Cloud:

• Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer supporting production systems
• Hands-on experience with Linux-based environments and system administration
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (VPC, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers)

CI/CD & Automation:

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, optionally Python)

Containers & Runtime:

• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes or similar)
• Understanding of deployment strategies (blue-green, rolling updates, canary)

Security & Access Control

• Strong focus on security best practices for infrastructure and deployments
• Experience managing access control, secrets, and credentials (IAM, Vault, secret managers)
• Understanding of network security, firewall rules, and secure connectivity
• Experience with security hardening and least-privilege principles

Reliability & Observability:

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Sentry, or similar)
• Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements
• Understanding of high-availability and fault-tolerant systems

Collaboration & Process:

• Experience working closely with backend and product teams
• Familiarity with on-call / incident response processes
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Would be a plus

• Experience in fintech or regulated environments
• Knowledge of security compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS)
• Experience supporting high-load or mission-critical systems

Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Operations:

• Design, maintain, and support secure and highly available infrastructure for production and non-production environments
• Ensure stability and scalability of systems supporting high-load applications
• Manage cloud resources, networking, and system configurations

Security & Access Control (Key Focus):

• Enforce security best practices for infrastructure, deployments, and access management
• Manage credentials, secrets, and privileged access following least-privilege principles
• Monitor and prevent unauthorized access, misconfigurations, and security vulnerabilities
• Support compliance with internal security policies and regulatory requirements

CI/CD & Automation:

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure safe, repeatable, and fast deployments
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code
• Improve deployment strategies to reduce downtime and release risk

Reliability & Incident Management:

• Monitor system health, performance, and availability using observability tools
• Respond to incidents, investigate root causes, and implement preventive measures
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response processes

Collaboration & Delivery Support:

• Work closely with backend engineers to support application deployments and runtime needs
• Assist teams in optimizing performance, reliability, and security of services
• Provide operational support for roadmap initiatives and production releases

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and reduce infrastructure-related technical debt
• Improve operational processes, documentation, and runbooks
• Proactively suggest improvements in security, reliability, and scalability
