Scalability, Availability & Reliability Ownership:

  • Proven experience designing and operating highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems
  • Ability to identify and resolve reliability issues in production, including systemic failures and architectural bottlenecks
  • Experience implementing multi-region architectures, traffic management, failover, and disaster recovery strategies

Docker to Kubernetes Migration:

  • Strong experience running containerized workloads using Docker in production
  • Proven track record of migrating systems from Docker-based deployments to Kubernetes
  • Ability to design Kubernetes-native architectures rather than lift-and-shift solutions
  • Ownership of the Kubernetes adoption strategy, tooling, and best practices

Kubernetes & Multi-Cluster Architecture:

  • Advanced production experience with Kubernetes (preferably AWS EKS)
  • Deep understanding of multi-cluster and multi-region Kubernetes environments
  • Experience with cluster networking, ingress controllers, autoscaling (HPA/VPA), and workload scheduling
  • Familiarity with service meshes, cluster federation, or cross-cluster communication

Infrastructure as Code & Automation:

  • Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
  • Ability to build scalable, reusable infrastructure modules and automation pipelines
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)

CI/CD & Deployment Excellence:

  • Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines for containerized and Kubernetes-based workloads
  • Experience with blue/green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies
  • Strong focus on safe releases, fast rollbacks, and zero-downtime deployments

Observability & Operational Excellence:

  • Expertise in monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
  • Ability to define SLIs, SLOs, and actionable alerts that improve reliability and reduce noise
  • Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and postmortems

Security & Best Practices:

  • Strong understanding of container and Kubernetes security (IAM, RBAC, network policies, secrets management)
  • Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure
  • Knowledge of compliance and security auditing is a plus

AI-Driven DevOps Automation:

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve DevOps workflows
  • Hands-on use of AI for pull request reviews, automated testing, infrastructure validation, or incident analysis
  • Ability to design intelligent automation to reduce manual operational work

Nice to have:

  • AWS Professional certifications
  • Experience running large-scale Kubernetes clusters in production
  • Familiarity with chaos engineering or resilience testing

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and operate scalable, reliable AWS infrastructure in line with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Own production reliability and scalability, including incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of system architecture and operations.
  • Lead containerization and Kubernetes adoption, including migrations from Docker-based deployments to Kubernetes-native architectures and operation of multi-cluster, multi-region EKS environments.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, and scripting to enable consistent, scalable infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized and Kubernetes workloads, supporting safe, zero-downtime deployments with fast rollback strategies.
  • Establish strong observability, security, and operational best practices across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, while driving automation and efficiency through modern and AI-assisted DevOps tooling.
