QA Engineer
We are expanding the delivery team and hiring a QA Engineer for a large-scale energy project in the active delivery phase in Prague.
This is not a greenfield project. The system is live, complex, and business-critical, with real users and regular releases.
As a QA Engineer, you will work close to the delivery process, ensuring product quality and system stability in a long-term enterprise implementation.
If you enjoy hands-on testing, working with real data, and have experience with enterprise-level systems, you will feel comfortable in this role and be a great fit for MaxBill in Prague.
Required skills
- 3+ years of experience in manual software testing
- Good understanding of software testing principles and practices
- Solid test design skills (test cases, checklists, scenarios)
- Experience in creating and maintaining QA documentation
- Experience working with databases, basic to intermediate SQL
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking systems (JIRA or similar)
- Experience testing RESTful and/or SOAP APIs, understanding of JSON
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication.
Mandatory: Ukrainian - native; Upper-Intermediate (B2) level of English
As a plus:
- Basic experience with test automation tools or frameworks
- Understanding of automated testing concepts
Experience working with Linux-based systems
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing (and partial automated testing if applicable)
- Prepare, maintain, and update test documentation
- Design and execute:
- Functional tests
- Scenario-based tests
- Integration tests
- System and end-to-end tests
- Identify, document, and track defects in bug tracking systems
- Participate in test planning and estimation together with the team
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers
- Follow and support QA processes and standards defined within the team
