Role Overview

We are looking for a Middle QA Engineer / Product Quality Analyst who understands how backend systems, data pipelines, and product logic work together.

This role sits between QA, backend development, and product thinking. You will be deeply involved in validating business logic, data correctness, integrations, and edge cases before features reach production.

You will work closely with backend developers (PHP/Laravel/Symfony), DevOps, and Product, ensuring releases are reliable, scalable, and production-ready.

Responsibilities

• Understand SlotCatalog features end-to-end:
  business logic → backend flow → data layer → user impact
• Analyze requirements and proactively identify:
  • Logic gaps
  • Data inconsistencies
  • Risky edge cases
• Create and maintain:
  • Test cases and scenarios focused on backend logic and data integrity
  • Checklists for releases and critical flows
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and release testing
• Validate correctness of SEO-critical data and structured content
• Test integrations, background jobs, and data updates
• Perform API-level testing (requests, responses, validation, error handling)
• Verify data accuracy across SQL / NoSQL databases
• Report bugs with clear reproduction steps, technical context, and impact assessment
• Collaborate closely with:
  • Backend developers
  • DevOps (release readiness, production checks)
  • Product stakeholders
• Participate in release validation and post-release monitoring
• Proactively suggest improvements to:
  • Product logic
  • Data handling
  • UX flows where logic affects user trust
     

Requirements

• Experience as a Middle QA Engineer or strong Junior ready to step up
• Strong understanding of backend-driven web applications
• Hands-on experience testing systems built with PHP (Laravel / Symfony)
• Confident working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Basic understanding of AWS or similar cloud environments
• Experience with REST API testing
• Strong analytical and structured thinking
• High attention to detail — especially with data
• Clear written communication and documentation skills
• Ownership mindset and responsibility for quality, not just tasks
   

Nice to Have

• Experience working with data-heavy or SEO-driven products
• Familiarity with logs, monitoring, or alerting tools
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
• Interest in test automation or quality process improvement
