Junior Software Development Engineer in Test (Python)

We are looking for a Junior SDET (Python) to join our QA/Automation team and take part in building reliable, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions for modern products across fintech, AI, telecom, healthcare, and other high-load domains.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend and frontend systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and reliable test code using Python.
  • Participate in API testing (REST/GraphQL) and basic UI automation.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand requirements and improve test coverage.
  • Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and report defects.
  • Help maintain test data, test environments, and CI pipelines.
  • Learn and apply best practices in test automation, software testing, and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to improving testing processes and overall product quality.

 

Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python.
  • Understanding of software testing fundamentals (test types, test levels, bug lifecycle).
  • Experience or strong interest in test automation.
  • Familiarity with API testing concepts (HTTP, REST, JSON).
  • Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
  • Understanding of how CI/CD pipelines work (theory or basic practice).
  • Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing approaches.
  • Good analytical thinking and attention to detail.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automation frameworks (pytest, unittest).
  • Basic experience with UI automation tools (Playwright, Selenium).
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
  • Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments.
  • Understanding of microservices and event-driven systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and command-line tools.
