Manual QA Engineer for Marketing Websites
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Manual QA Engineer to join our Web Services team. In this role, you will ensure the flawless delivery of high-performance marketing and growth-oriented websites. You will be responsible for validating that every digital experience we build is bug-free, perfectly aligned with design specifications, and optimized for a seamless user experience across all devices. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, a deep understanding of web standards, and the ability to bridge the gap between creative designs and technical implementation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following minimum experience standards:
- Manual Web Testing: 2+ years of professional experience in manual functional and UI/UX testing for web applications and marketing sites.
- Design-to-Web Validation: Expert ability to compare implemented web pages against requirements and high-fidelity designs in Figma, ensuring pixel-perfect execution.
- Browser DevTools: Confidence working with DevTools to inspect elements, debug console errors, and analyze network requests.
- Cross-Device Testing: Hands-on experience testing across various browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge) and operating systems (iOS, Android) to ensure responsive design integrity.
- BrowserStack: Proficiency using BrowserStack (or similar cloud-testing platforms) for comprehensive cross-browser and real-device testing.
- Bug Reporting: Ability to clearly document bugs with accurate reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, and relevant environment details.
- Communication: Upper-intermediate English (B2+) or higher, with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to developers and stakeholders.
- Content Management: Experience performing basic content edits and migrating copy/assets within a CMS environment (WordPress, Webflow, etc.).
Desirable Experience (Plus Skills)
Experience in any of the following areas is a significant advantage:
- SEO Validation: Basic understanding of SEO principles and the ability to validate meta tags, header structures (H1-H6), alt text, and schema markup.
- CMS Familiarity: Experience testing sites built on WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot or Storyblok.
- Performance Testing: Basic knowledge of checking Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed Insights scores.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough manual testing of marketing websites, landing pages, and web components to identify functional and visual regressions.
- Conduct UI/UX Audits: Use Figma to verify that the final build matches the intended typography, spacing, colors, and layout across all breakpoints.
- Device & Browser Validation: Execute test plans across multiple screen sizes and devices using BrowserStack to ensure a consistent experience for all users.
- SEO Quality Control: Validate that basic SEO elements are correctly implemented and functional before site launches.
- Collaborate with Engineering: Work closely with Full Stack Developers to communicate findings, re-test fixes, and ensure the highest code quality standards.
- Document & Trace: Maintain clear test documentation and bug reports, ensuring every issue is tracked from discovery to resolution.
- Troubleshoot: Actively investigate reported issues in development and staging environments to pinpoint root causes using DevTools.
- Content Migration & Editing: Assist in the migration of content from staging to production or between platforms, ensuring formatting and link integrity are maintained.
