Middle Automation QA Engineer to $2500

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a Middle Automation QA Engineer to join the Entravel team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining automated tests to ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of our hotel booking platform. You will work closely with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality features and continuously improve our testing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks.
• Create and support automated tests for backend services and APIs.
• Perform API testing for REST and gRPC-based services.
• Validate data integrity across microservices and databases.
• Analyze automated test results, investigate failures, and report defects.
• Execute regression testing to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and QA team members.
• Participate in sprint activities, planning, and daily team ceremonies.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and test reliability.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in automation testing.
• Strong understanding of QA processes and SDLC.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, or similar).
• Experience testing REST APIs (Postman or similar tools).
• Basic understanding of gRPC is a plus.
• Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Understanding of message-based or event-driven systems.
• Confident use of Git and Git-based workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Agile / Kanban methodologies.
• Ability to analyze test results and clearly document issues.
• Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively across teams in both English and Ukrainian.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with integration testing in microservice architectures.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP or similar).
• Basic Linux command-line skills.
• Experience with monitoring or logs analysis (e.g. Kibana, Grafana).
• Basic understanding of gRPC-based services.
