DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to work on building and operating scalable, resilient, and fully automated infrastructure. The role focuses on bridging development and operations while managing a hybrid environment that includes cloud platforms and on-premise servers. The position involves active use of GitOps practices for deploying and operating Microservices and Serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure across cloud environments and on-premise servers.
• Infrastructure as Code: Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
• Container Orchestration: Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters, including multi-cluster management and visibility (e.g. via Rancher).
• GitOps & Delivery: Implement and support GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD to ensure declarative, version-controlled deployments.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Linux Administration: Maintain and optimize Linux (Ubuntu) systems for performance, security, and reliability.
• Databases: Manage database infrastructure, including replication, backups, point-in-time recovery, monitoring, and performance optimization in collaboration with development teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, SQS, CloudWatch, RDS, VPC, IAM).
• Practical experience managing on-premise physical or virtualized servers.
• Advanced Linux administration skills, preferably Ubuntu.

Orchestration & Delivery

• Proven experience running production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps approaches and tools such as ArgoCD.
• Strong knowledge of Git and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.

Automation & Development

• Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Strong Python scripting skills for automation, integrations, and tooling.

Architecture

• Solid understanding of Microservices and Serverless architectures (e.g. AWS Lambda).

Databases

• Deep experience administering PostgreSQL (replication, backups, vacuuming, indexing, performance tuning).
• Experience with AWS DynamoDB, including GSIs, LSIs, and TTL concepts.

Nice to Have

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Strong communication skills and experience working in Agile teams.
