Senior B2B SaaS Designer
Position Overview
This role requires a unique blend of visual design excellence, technical aptitude, and systems thinking to create marketing assets that resonate with enterprise decision-makers and technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Visualization & Communication
- Transform complex technical documentation into intuitive diagrams, workflows, and process maps
- Create information architecture diagrams, system integration visuals, and data flow illustrations
- Design technical infographics that simplify sophisticated SaaS concepts for diverse audiences
- Develop visual frameworks that communicate product capabilities, integrations, and technical advantages
- Build visual representations of APIs, system architectures, and technical workflows
Marketing Website Design & Development
- Design and optimize marketing website pages that convert B2B enterprise clients
- Create landing pages for paid advertising campaigns, product launches, and lead generation
- Develop responsive designs that maintain visual hierarchy and messaging across all devices
- Design component libraries and page templates that ensure brand consistency
- Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
Brand & Visual Communication
- Create visual elements that authentically represent client industry specialties and technical capabilities
- Develop industry-specific design systems that speak to target verticals (manufacturing, healthcare, finance, etc.)
- Design marketing collateral including case studies, white papers, one-pagers, and presentation decks
- Ensure all visual communications align with brand guidelines while adapting to specific use cases
- Create cohesive visual narratives across multiple touchpoints and marketing channels
Design Systems & Developer Optimization
- Build scalable, automated design systems in Figma with reusable components and variants
- Create and maintain comprehensive component libraries with clear documentation
- Develop auto-layout structures and design tokens for efficient handoff to developers
- Implement naming conventions and organizational structures that streamline development
- Use Figma's advanced features (variables, prototyping, branching) to create production-ready designs
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and optimized for implementation
Required Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of design experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or technology sectors
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including:
- Component creation and variants
- Auto-layout and constraints
- Design systems and libraries
- Prototyping and interactive components
- Developer handoff best practices
- Strong portfolio demonstrating:
- Complex technical visualizations (diagrams, workflows, system architectures)
- B2B marketing websites and landing pages
- Industry-specific design work
- Before/after examples of technical documentation transformed into visual assets
Technical aptitude to understand and visualize:
- Software architectures and integrations
- APIs and data flows
- Cloud infrastructure concepts
- Enterprise software ecosystems
- Industry-specific technical processes
Design Capabilities
- Exceptional visual design skills with strong typography, color theory, and composition expertise
- Ability to create diagrams and illustrations from scratch (not reliant on templates)
- Proficiency in creating iconography and custom illustrations
- Understanding of information hierarchy and content organization
Experience designing for technical and non-technical audiences simultaneously
B2B SaaS & Industry Knowledge
- Deep understanding of B2B SaaS buyer journeys and decision-making processes
- Experience designing for multiple stakeholders (C-suite, IT, operations, end-users)
- Knowledge of enterprise sales cycles and how design supports them
- Ability to adapt visual language to different industries (manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, finance, etc.)
- Understanding of compliance and enterprise requirements that impact design decisions
Extra bonus for additional knowladge:
- Experience with HTML/CSS and understanding of web development constraints
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
- Background in UX writing or content design
- Proficiency in additional tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Whimsical, or diagram-specific tools
- Experience with design QA and working within agile/sprint methodologies
- Understanding of SEO principles and how design impacts conversion optimization
