DevOps (Kafka)

Our client's IT infrastructure team is looking for Kafka support. You will be required to work during U.S. business hours (EST).

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer;
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (brokers, topics, partitions, replication);
- Experience with Kafka ecosystem (Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, MirrorMaker).

Responsibilities:
- Review architecture of existing clusters for Kafka - have 2 clusters with SSL and without;
- Understanding of correct topic creation and usage;
- Configuration of Kafka nodes;
- Configuration inside the app to use a Kafka;
- Disaster recovery and HA - to understand how to add nodes, disable nodes,resync data.and etc;
- Maintenance of Kafka nodes - update, troubleshooting;
- Monitoring.
