Node.js Developer

Inception-1 is a product company that creates AI-driven B2C products designed to help people feel more connected and less alone. Our mission is to build meaningful digital experiences that blend technology with empathy — and to prove that technology can be both human and transformative.

We are looking for a Node.js Developer to build and maintain a high-performance backend service for our new product.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Taking end-to-end ownership of the services you build — from idea and design to development, testing, production, and long-term maintenance.

• Actively participating in Product Discovery:

  - working closely with Product Manager and Designer,

  - contributing to both product and technical design decisions,

  - thinking product-wise, not only in terms of “writing code”.

• Test and monitor your own features, ensuring reliability, performance, and security in production.
• Handle user feedback, incidents, and continuous improvements to enhance the product.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and support a strong engineering culture.
• Work effectively in a cross-functional(engineering, product, design, ML) during fast-moving, early-stage product development.
   

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
   

Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time systems (WebSockets, streaming, etc.).
• Experience in health, wellness, or sensitive data domains.
• Familiarity with ML/AI pipelines or experience collaborating closely with ML engineers.
