Linux/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (IRC76823) (offline)

Good knowledge of cloud and related technologies:
* 2+ years of experience in the area
* AWS (e.g. CloudFormation templates), Azure (e.g. AKS)
* Docker, Kubernetes
* Ansible

Good Linux knowledge:
* Total 3+ years of experience of using Linux in different environments
* Knowledge of command line tools and utilities, bash scripting
* System configuration and troubleshooting

Programming language knowledge:
* 1+ year of experience of using Python for system management scripts, daemons, automation of various tasks or small services
Intermediate English
Good communication skills
Bachelor's degree

Will be a major plus:
* Some knowledge of Java Core and Go programming languages
* Experience with maintaining and adapting open-source Ansible playbooks (e.g. kubespray)
* Experience with ELK stack, Prometheus
* Knowledge of common protocols (HTTP, DNS, DHCP)

* Participation in maintaining, supporting or solving problems of the production environment or distributed environment

Job Responsibilities
Design and implementation of product features and tools for the infrastructure layer of a solution, and tools for the deployment.
Our team specializes in products for cloud-based deployments. Tools support a wide range of environments, ranging from a set of AWS EC2 instances to a managed Kubernetes cluster.
Responsibilities also include a participation in sync meetings with overseas team, writing documentation for the features and implementation of test automation.

Department/Project Description
Harmonic is a leading provider of innovative solutions that deliver and process video.
Kiev Lab, in a close collaboration with Harmonic offices in other locations (US, Hong Kong, France, Israel), works on a different parts of the solution, including the datapath, control plane, testing automation, and supporting the SaaS platform.

The project aims to provide the infrastructure to deploy and run a flagship solution for video processing (for example, to provide an on-demand live video service delivered over the Internet) on various deployment environments (Bare-metal, AWS, k8s, etc.)
