Performance tester

Trinetix is looking for a Performance Tester to join our team. You will focus on validating and optimizing the performance of web and backend systems. The role currently uses JMeter for API and backend performance testing and leverage Selenium-based plugins to simulate real user interactions for UI performance validation. Performance Tester will work closely with development, QA, and Product teams to ensure our AWS-hosted platform consistently delivers a seamless experience for our users. 

Requirements 

• 3+ years of experience in performance testing or ideally in a SaaS or cloud-native environment. 
• Proficient with JMeter for backend and API performance testing. 
• Experience using Selenium or Selenium plug-ins for front-end performance and response validation. 
• Strong understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and Load Balancers. 
• Solid grasp of HTTP protocols, REST APIs, and JSON/XML data structures. 
• Experience analyzing performance metrics and profiling backend components. 
• Comfortable working in Agile and CI/CD environments. 

Nice-to-haves 

• Familiarity with AWS X-Ray, CloudFormation, or Lambda-based test automation. 
• Understanding of microservices, containerization, and distributed system performance. 
• Experience with test result visualization and reporting dashboards (e.g., Grafana). 
• Knowledge of JavaScript or Python for custom scripting. 

Core Responsibilities 

• Design, build, and execute API and backend performance tests using JMeter. 
• Integrate Selenium plug-ins with JMeter to evaluate end-to-end user experience and UI responsiveness. 
• Define performance baselines and KPIs for application components across AWS environments. 
• Collaborate with engineers and Product to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in services, APIs, and database layers. 
• Monitor and analyze results using various observability tools. 
• Document test scenarios, results, and performance improvement recommendations. 
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated performance testing and regression checks. 
• Contribute to capacity planning and scalability reviews for major releases.
