DevOps Engineer (Bare Metal + GCP + HighLoad)

INFOBUS is an international IT holding and a leader in the passenger transportation industry. We develop and maintain our own global system, BusSystem, which connects thousands of carriers and millions of users across Europe. We work with real highload, a strong bare-metal foundation, and are gradually transitioning to a modern cloud/DevOps stack.
 

We are currently looking for an engineer who will become a bridge between physical servers and modern CI/CD & Cloud processes.

What you will do:
 

Bare Metal / Linux

• Full lifecycle of managing physical servers (Hetzner, in-house racks).
• Linux tuning (Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS), RAID, networking, hardware health monitoring.
• Optimizing Nginx / Apache for highload workloads.
   

PHP Infrastructure

• Maintaining multiple PHP versions on the same servers (5.2/5.6 — 8.x).
• Participating in migration and modernisation of legacy architecture.
   

DevOps

• CI/CD with GitLab CI / Jenkins.
• Containerization with Docker (where appropriate).
• GitOps using FluxCD.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible.
   

Cloud (GCP)

• GKE clusters and cloud SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• VPC networking, firewall rules, IAM.
• Cloudflare: CDN, DDoS protection, WAF.
   

Monitoring

• Prometheus, Grafana.
• Ensuring 24/7 service availability.
   

What we expect:
 

• Strong Linux experience; ability to diagnose system-level or network-level issues.
• Solid understanding of PHP infrastructure (php-fpm, tuning, optimization).
• Bash — required; Python/Go — a big plus.
• Understanding of highload systems.
• Responsibility and attention to detail — we work with real bookings and payments.
